DISHA Foundation

Social inequality is the manifestation of human disintegration that resulting in different forms of communal allures, caste based discrimination, patriarchy, poverty, unemployment etc. All together these affect human development and multiply several problems in the society. There are plenty of resources including human resources are still not explored in favor of people interest. Today, security and survival of flora & fauna are in threat conditions. In order to combat these problems, DISHA Foundation is registered with consent of founder members of organization on 17th July 1996 under Society Registration Act 1958

Mission: Foundation is dedicated to enable people for confronting vulnerability & inequality through partnership and strategic alliance

Objectives

  • To create awareness for improving the status of women, children and adolescent by undertaking schemes and projects.
  • To develop a perspective on the socio-economic problems, affecting vulnerable communities.
  • To enable the vulnerable communities to engage them in facing up the development and take an action for conservation of natural resources and environmental issues.
  • To promote appropriate and alternative technology’s application for livelihood & women’s entrepreneurship development.
  • To promote advocacy and policy level intervention through networking and alliance on different issues.

Training and capacity building

To show real expression of mission commitment; enabling people for confronting vulnerability and inequality we promote training and capacity building with an understanding that a well oriented individual may contribute his/her support to ensure development initiatives. From this point of view is an integral and important intervention that assures involvement and participation of stakeholders in following trainings and capacity building for different presupposes:

  • PRIs trainings on gender Behavior and gender budgeting for addressing girls child and women centric schemes and policies.
  • Clientele behavior training with rickshaw pullers of bird sanctuary, national parks.
  • Need based Vision building trainings are conducting with youth studying in hotel management, computer institute and colleges.
  • Life skill education training to adolescent and women animators under Integrated Population Development Program.
  • Reproductive & child Health (RCH) training provided to animators for implementation of RCH-II program.
  • Training of Bal Adhikar Manch on child right protection and gender behavior.
  • Training of Sans- Bahu on RCH issue.
  • Training of Jago Sakhi Sangathan on gender and girl feticide.
  • Communication and personality development (CPD) with computer professional.
  • ToT organized for promotion of SGSY and SHG with RCDF, officials of national banks of Bharatpur for economic empowerment of BPL families and women.
  • Training of youth on masculinity and gender.
  • 2 days Capacity building training organized to volunteer for supporting state level convention of Campaign Against Child Labor(CACL).
  • Micro-planning training to parents in urban settings.

Childline Sevices- 1098 Ministry of women and Child GoI:

  • Since 2012 Foundation is running childline services 1098 in collaboration with Childline India Foundation for child rights and Protection through national toll free number 1098.
  • In, CHILDLINE India Foundation (CIF) launched CHILDLINE, the country's first toll-free tele-helpline for street children in distress. As of March 2015, total of 36 Million calls since inception have been serviced by CHILDLINE service and operates in 366cities/districts in 34 States/UTs through its network of over 700 partner organizations across India.
  • A phone number that spells hope for millions of children across India, CHILDLINE is India's first 24-hour, free, emergency phone service for children in need of aid and assistance. Whether you are a concerned adult or a child, you can dial 1098, the toll free number to access our services. We not only respond to the emergency needs of children but also link them to services for their long-term care and rehabilitation. We have, till date, reached out to over three million children across the nation through such calls.
  • Since inception Our team rescued more than 1000 childs from Child labour, brickklink, Child marriage, trficcked etc.
  • More than 380 children have been restoration and rehabilited by our team efforts

Open Shelter Home-ICPS for Destitute and Street children’s under Ministry of Women and Child (GoI) :

DISHA Foundation Society is implementing shelter Homes for street and orphans children’s underIntegrated child protection schemes since 4 yrs The main purpose of this Programmer is

with following broad objectives¬.

  • To provide institutional care facilities in both units of Open shelter
  • To provide safe environment to targeted children from their vulnerable life situation
  • To ensure sustained interventions for keeping away these children from their vulnerable situations
  • To guide these children away from high risk and socially deviant behaviors
  • To provide quality education and develop their potential and talent
  • To enhance life-skills and reduce their vulnerabilities to exploitation

NIRD –MoRD Govt. of India

ConductedSurvey of Low Performing Gram Pnachyat Block Bayana , for job card holder of MNEGRA under this project we have organized capacity job card holder on Their rights at workplace at to gram panchyat (khunth kheragh and kharera) .

Regularly capacity building training on how to generate working dimond and proposal related to MNEHRA job roll.

Habitat for Humanity India (HFHI)-New Delhi –

Baseline survey of ultra-poor family specially Banjara andNutt community and widow woman for construction of low cost 300 sanitary toiletsin District Bharatpur.
